ABGUS in partnership with SBI Foundation Organized Blood Donation Camp
Akhil Bhartiya Gramin Uthan Samiti (ABGUS) staged a successful blood donation camp in Haryana on the occasion of World Blood Donor Day in collaboration with SBI Foundation. Mr. Rajesh Verma, the founder of Akhil Bhartiya Gramin Uthan Samiti, officially opened the camp (ABGUS).
In order to make this camp effective, ABGUS stakeholders from the community, volunteers from partner corporations, the government, and many members of the general public from Tauru and Dharuhera actively participated. On this occasion, 45 units of blood were obtained. More than 63 contributors participated in the camp, which ran from ten in the morning until four thirty in the afternoon.
The founder of Akhil Bhartiya Gramin Uthan Samiti (ABGUS), Mr. Rajesh Verma, gave a speech at the event and thanked the volunteers, saying, “In our country, it is believed that Raktadaan hi mahadaan hai” (Blood donation is the greatest of all donation). I’m grateful to the staff and volunteers that helped with this excellent project because we are happy that we were able to organise the camp and make another step toward society’s improvement. We anticipate planning more similar events in the near future.
The Akhil Bhartiya Gramin Uthan Samiti (ABGUS) has been promoting health development for the past three decades and has organised a number of awareness programmes and campaigns to inform and educate the less privileged and backward members of society about the value of maintaining good health and hygiene.
