ACC, the cement and building material firm of the Adani Group, is pleased to announce the successful implementation of a number of CSR projects aimed at making a significant difference in the communities surrounding its Lakheri facility in Rajasthan. These projects are aimed at providing youngsters with job opportunities, offering medical help to local communities, educating residents about sustainable water conservation practices, and raising awareness about the necessity of safe working conditions.

As part of its commitment to supporting skill development, the company launched the Assistant Electrician Program for local youngsters at the DISHA center. This thorough curriculum provided learners with important electrical skills and knowledge, as well as a beneficial road to meaningful work. As a consequence of their hard work and dedication, the trainees were given job offers from companies in Neemrana and Bawal, paving the way for a bright future.

By organizing a free health check-up camp in partnership with Bhagwan Mahavir Cancer Hospital and Research Center, Jaipur, the Company displayed its commitment to the well-being of its employees, their families, and the local community. This camp had a huge impact, as over 100 people received full health checks. The active engagement proved the significance of such programs in boosting community health. During the health check-up camp, attendees received critical information from a hospital gynecologist, who educated them about breast cancer symptoms and potential treatments. This campaign aims to empower individuals to take care of their health and well-being by spreading awareness about early detection and timely action.

Recognizing the critical water scarcity issues confronting the population of Uttarana Village in Rajasthan, ACC has launched the Lift Irrigation Project. The primary goal of this revolutionary project is to provide the local population with sustainable drinking water and irrigation solutions. When completed, the project is intended to help over 500 farmers and greatly improve irrigation coverage, spanning over 450 hectares of land with guaranteed water supply.

“We firmly believe that progress should be measured by the positive impact it creates in the lives of the communities we serve,” stated Mr. Ajay Kapur, CEO of Cement Business. Our constant commitment to our community shows this conviction, as we continue to pursue sustainable development and empowerment. These projects are an essential aspect of our journey, and we look forward to making a significant and lasting difference in the upliftment and advancement of our country.”

These programs reflect ACC’s and Adani Foundation’s genuine commitment to creating a positive difference in the lives of the communities it serves, as well as our nation’s goal of a brighter and prosperous future, fuelled by a deep commitment to empower local communities.
