Adani Foundation gives Rs 20 lac scholarship to students
The Adani Foundation, the company’s CSR arm, awarded a Rs 20 lakh scholarship to 12 Grama Panchayats surrounding the UPCL plant on Saturday.
In the programme held at Buntara Bhavan in Padubidri, 755 students received scholarship benefits. The event was presided over by Kaup MLA Lalalji R. Menon. Alva stated that the scholarships were awarded to students who received 85% or higher in their academics during the academic year 2021-22 in SSLC, ITI, PUC, Diploma, Graduation, Post-Graduation, Engineering, and Medical courses.

Alva, with the motivation and inspiration of founder Chairman Gautam Adani, is organizing the ‘Udaan’ programme under its education focus area. More than 15,000 students have been invited to the UPCL plant as part of Udaan, allowing them to gain knowledge in their academics and inspiring them to have a vision in their lives.
Lalalji R. Mendon advised students to take advantage of this scholarship and pursue higher education while contributing to the development of society. Jayanth Kumar stated that during the previous regime, UPCL had failed to implement village development projects under CSR and had thus lost the trust of the villagers.
