Adani Foundation Yoga Yatra Programme
The Adani Foundation yoga tour throughout the state in preparation for India’s 75th Independence Day, known as “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav” throughout the country.
The journey visits 75 historical, tourist, archaeological, and architecturally significant sites around Gujarat. Each of these locations is of utmost importance, and several of them are respected places of worship. The locations were picked to showcase Gujarat’s diverse and rich cultural heritage.
In order to highlight the benefits of yoga against Gujarat’s distinctive culture, history, architectural wonders, natural eco-system, and diversified topography, the yoga performances throughout the state have been documented in the form of short films. Viewers can receive this information in a number of convenient formats across numerous online and broadcasting channels. To further spread awareness, the song “Yog Karo,” written by Sachin-Jigar and performed by Shankar Mahadevan, features images of various yoga poses and showcases the beauty of Gujarat. Each posture or asana that is performed in this song has specific components that are related to the location where it is performed, such as Simhasana, Vrukshasana, and Mayurasana at Gir Forest.
According to Dr. Priti Adani, Chairperson of the Adani Foundation, “Each episode of this Adani Foundation Yoga Tour highlights the majesty and grandeur of Gujarat by bringing viewers and yoga aficionados on an immersive tour of the state’s most outstanding places and the myriad dimensions of the practice of yoga.” “Understanding who we were and who we should be depends greatly on knowing, experiencing, and connecting with our historic roots and cultural history. India gave the world yoga as a gift. It is a road toward comprehensive wellbeing and preventive healthcare as well as toward physical fitness.
