AM-NS India joins Indian Red Cross Society for financial assistance
Indian Red Cross Society – Bhubaneswar: ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India (AM/NS India) has offered financial support of Rs. 30 lakh to the Indian Red Cross Society, Sundargarh District Branch of Indian Red Cross on February 8, 2022, as part of the FARAH (Financial Assistance to Road Accident through Heavy Vehicle) program.
Mr. Jitesh Rath, Lead-CSR, AM/NS India, presented Mrs. Kunti Rani Naik, Deputy Collector, Sundergarh, with the check. “We are grateful to ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India for its efforts through CSR and support for a worthy cause,” Mrs. Kunti Naik stated. This financial assistance would undoubtedly assist traffic accident victims and their families in living a dignified life.”
The FARAH project’s fund will be used to treat road accident victims and offer compensation to those who have been injured or whose loved ones have died as a result of being hit by a big vehicle. This project will provide financial assistance to victims’ families up to Rs. 4 lakh in the event of a death, Rs. 2 lakh in the event of permanent disability, Rs. 1 lakh in the event of a major injury, and Rs. 30,000 in the event of minor injuries. The compensation provided by the scheme would help traffic accident victims maintain their livelihood.
