AWS and Apeejay Education National Education Policy program
The National Education Policy Accelerator Program has been developed by Amazon Web Services (AWS), an Amazon.com corporation, and Apeejay Education, an Indian institution (NEPAP).
NEPAP will enable Indian academic institutions to comply with the government’s National Education Policy 2020’s technology standards (NEP 2020). This is India’s first programme to support the NEP 2020’s digital transformation of educational institutions.
“The accelerator programme will help in the experimentation and development of cloud-based solutions scaled for India’s education sector, and matched to the NEP 2020 vision,” Sunil PP, lead—education, space, and nonprofits, AISPL, AWS India and South Asia, said.
The accelerator programme will provide guidance to academic institutions on a variety of NEP 2020 topics. It will assist academic institutions by hosting digital innovation workshops aimed at identifying and prioritising particular difficulties faced by academic institutions, as well as co-developing solutions or proof-of-concepts (POCs) using artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning technology (ML).

These seminars will be led by AWS and will follow the Amazon Working Backwards innovation process. It develops prototypes using design thinking to discover and define a customer-focused problem or opportunity. AWS and Apeejay Education hope to use the accelerator programme to help academic institutions design and implement POCs by providing AWS credits and capacity building seminars. Apeejay Education will contribute knowledge about digital solution use cases in the education industry.
