Aspirational Districts Program to Empower Marginalized Communities
By March 2024, the NASSCOM Foundation hopes to have more than 3.5 million individuals equipped with digital skills through the Aspirational Districts Program. The programme will concentrate on giving underprivileged populations in distant and impoverished areas of India with digital resource centres, training for digital ambassadors, and e-governance tools.
The programme perfectly embodies the main tenet of the NASSCOM Foundation’s TechForGood initiative, which aims to use technology to make a positive social impact. Along with promoting economic development, the programme will also support India’s Digital India aim.

Aspirational Districts Program
The community members’ life and means of subsistence will be improved by the government services, information, and resources made available by the digital resource centres, which will operate as change agents and engines of growth. The programme will also provide e-governance tools to all communities and teach locals to serve as digital ambassadors.
The programme perfectly embodies the TechForGood philosophy of the NASSCOM Foundation, which aspires to use technology to make a beneficial social impact. The Aspirational Districts Programme aims to revolutionise 55 districts and empower more than 3.5 million people by utilising technology and digital knowledge, making technology accessible, inexpensive, and fair to everyone.
