CSR: Aster DM Healthcare wins 3 prestigious awards

One of the major integrated healthcare providers in the GCC and India, Aster DM Healthcare, received three prestigious awards last week from the Arabia CSR Awards and Dubai Chamber of Commerce for its ongoing work in sustainability, corporate social responsibility, and community projects.

In its CSR Label H1 2022 cycle, the Dubai Chamber of Commerce has given Aster DM Healthcare the “Advanced CSR Label for 2022.” The Workplace, Marketplace, Community, and Environment impact areas are taken into account by the Dubai Chamber CSR Label when evaluating a company’s commitment to CSR and sustainability. The organisation has received praise for its steadfast dedication to these causes and for adopting strict steps to make sure that CSR is a core value of the business. The Dubai Chamber of Commerce has honoured Aster DM Healthcare for the fourth consecutive year.

With a compassionate mission and a worldwide outlook, Aster DM Healthcare has been in the forefront of providing high-quality healthcare. CSR is seen by Aster DM Healthcare as a logical extension of its basic beliefs rather than just a legal duty. Aster Volunteers was founded in 2016 as Aster DM Healthcare’s CSR division. Aster DM Healthcare has worked with numerous organisations around to have a good influence on individuals and communities under the banner of Aster volunteers. The 11 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs) are Good Health & Well-Being, Quality Education, Gender Equality, Affordable & Green Energy, Clean Water & Sanitation, Decent Work and Economic Growth, Industry Innovation and Infrastructure, Reduced Inequality, Climate Action, Sustainable Consumption, and Corporate Social Responsibility. Aster has incorporated these goals into its ESG policies.

Aster has been named the winner in the “Healthcare Sector Category” and the winner (tie) in the “Partnerships and Collaborations Category” of the 15th cycle of the Arabia CSR Awards in recognition of this. The Ras Al Khaimah Civil Aviation Department Chairman and a member of the Executive Council of the Government of Ras Al Khaimah, H.E. Eng. Sheikh Salem Bin Sultan Bin Saqr Al-Qasimi, presided over and was present at the award ceremony earlier this month. The Middle East and North Africa’s top venue for sustainability awards, the Arabia CSR Awards, celebrated its fifteenth birthday this year with 15 categories.

The founder, chairman, and managing director of Aster DM Healthcare, Dr. Azad Moopen, commented on this by saying, “As a responsible and socially dedicated healthcare provider with the highest level of ESG rating, our objective is to embrace best practises for achieving sustainability. This is accomplished through alliances and teamwork that will lessen our environmental impact. While incorporating the UN Sustainable Development Goals into our actions, we are also providing healthcare to millions of people who need it.
