Chetak Logistics organizes annual meeting of the Board of Chetak Foundation
Chetak Logistics –India’s capital, New Delhi On the occasion of the first anniversary of its incorporation, Chetak Foundation, the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) arm of Chetak Group, India’s leading logistics company, held its first annual meeting of its Board of Directors, which included Trustees, Directors – Governing Board, and Advisory Board Members.
Prof. G Raghuram, Chairman of the Advisory Board, presided over the meeting and announced the launch of the Chetak Foundation’s renovated website’s first anniversary edition. The new website is more user-friendly because it records various activities aimed at beneficiaries in real time, allowing for greater transparency.
As the Chair of the yearly review meeting, Prof. G. Raghuram, a Distinguished Visiting Faculty and Principal Academic Advisor of the National Rail and Transportation Institute (NRTI) and former Director of IIM Bangalore, offered his thoughts. “It is reasonable to believe that the team has done outstanding work in the first few months of its existence. We now need to adopt a more focused approach to further maximise the impact of various interventions, based on what we’ve learned,” he said.
Chetak Foundation’s Head and Director, Arun Arora, discussed the progress of the Foundation’s many activities during the year, including the anticipated budget, actual spending, and the impact on recipients. He also briefed the Board on his plans for the coming year, 2022-23. During the first (eventful) year, senior government ministers endorsed the Foundation’s initiatives, and the Foundation partnered with VisionSpring, a global non-profit, DESU (Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University), and India CSR, as well as the CRPF, Delhi Metro, Indian Oil Corporation, and prestigious hospitals such as Sir Ganga Ram, Fortis, and Max Healthcare,” he added.
Trustees Mukesh Haritash and Sachin Haritash, Director Deepak Chauhan, and Advisory Board members Rusen Kumar, Aditya Goel, Madhurendra Sinha, Ramit Sehrawat, Kriti Mishra, and Vusat Iqbal attended the meeting, which was chaired by Prof. Raghuram.
Education, livelihood, health, safety, and the environment are among the wide focal areas of the Chetak Foundation.
Poshan Plus (Hunger alleviation and nutrition), Swasthya Plus (Health & Fitness), ‘Siksha se Rozgaar‘ (Education to Livelihood), Zindagi Plus (Road safety), Oxygen Plus (Environmental protection), and Sahayata Plus (Disaster/Emergency support) are some of the amazing schemes that the Foundation has launched to further its mission.
During Coved, the Chetak Foundation received the CSR India Award for Skill Development and the CST Times Award for its Health Initiatives. Thousands of Covid front-line employees received high-quality sanitization kits thanks to the Foundation.
