Coal India expenditure Rs 1,600 cr on CSR
Coal India expenditure – According to CIL Director (Personnel) Vinay Ranjan, the PSU is the country’s third-largest spender on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) projects.
CIL has spent more than 60% of its CSR expenditure on the health and sanitation sector, and has offered job training to over 10,000 adolescents.
According to the PSU, CIL built or assisted in the construction of 31 oxygen plants in 28 hospitals around the country during the past fiscal year to address the possible lack of oxygen during the COVID-19 pandemic.
CIL’s CSR operations are currently being carried out in 34 districts across eight states.
Over 80% of domestic coal production is produced by Coal India.
