CSR of Hyundai Motor India announces Eco Restoration of 3 ponds to support GuruJal Society
Hyundai Motor India – (HMIF), the CSR arm of Hyundai Motor India, today reported the eco reclamation of three lakes, one each in Hariahera in Sohna, Palasoli in Pataudi and Tajnagar in Farrukhnagar squares of Gurugram as a team with GuruJal Society. GuruJal is a multi-partner body, headed by Deputy Commissioner, Gurugram, expected to address water shortage, ground water consumption, flooding and stagnation in Gurugram.
Remarking on the initiation of the program, SS Kim, MD and CEO, HMIL said, “Water is one of the quickest draining asset in the nation and aggregate endeavors are needed to moderate water for an economical future. Saving our worldwide vision of ‘Progress for Humanity’ at the center of every one of our drives and going past portability, Hyundai has cooperated with GuruJal Society, avowing our responsibility towards defending communities’ advantage making a reasonable biological system for people in the future.”
The 3 lakes will help in recharging 93 million liters of ground water while 227 million liters of water will be dealt with benefitting around 8000 inhabitants yearly. Around 1500 trees and bushes are to be planted around the lakes prompting yearly sequestration of 2500 tons of carbon and creation of 84 tons of oxygen and improvement of greenery of the locale.
Local area activation and waste-water treatment plant development has been finished for every one of the three lakes. Remaining rebuilding process which incorporates dewatering of lake, refining of lake, cleaning of lake encompassing and finishing around lake will be finished inside the following not many months.
