SKF Scholarship Program for Girls to Attend University
SKF Scholarship Program – SKF India, the world’s largest bearings company, today established a scholarship programme for meritorious female students pursuing diplomas and engineering degrees. SKF India hopes to help 150 girls from economically challenged households in Pune, Mysore, Bangalore, Ahmedabad, and Haridwar as part of the programme. The programme will be conducted by United Way of Bangalore, an NGO that has been providing financial help and career-ready programmes to girls seeking higher education.
“The SKF Scholarship programme is part of our ongoing effort to empower India’s youth, particularly young girls, through education, skilling, mentorship, and counselling,” stated Manish Bhatnagar, Managing Director, SKF India Ltd. We believe that an educated, self-assured, and independent young woman can help build a stronger country with a brighter future. Deserving students can overcome financial barriers and improve their futures by pursuing their desire of pursuing higher education through this comprehensive scholarship programme.”
SKF India will award scholarships worth up to INR 40,000 in equal annual instalments over the course of the degree programme. To keep the scholarship, candidates must present proof of passing each year. The application period will begin in October 2021 and end in December 2021. Shortlisting applications based on academic background, financial necessity, and document verification, as well as interviewing candidates to gauge their desire in pursuing further education, will be part of the selection process.
