DBS Bank join hands with Headstart and Anthill
DBS Bank India has teamed with startup venture capital fund Anthill Ventures and evangelist network Headstart Network Foundation to introduce DBS Business Class foundED, in keeping with its aim to encourage entrepreneurs and innovators. This conference, which will take place across India, will honour today’s founders, innovators, and game-changers in order to promote co-innovation and collaboration in the startup ecosystem.
Rana Daggubati, an actor, entrepreneur, and investor, was the keynote speaker at DBS BusinessClass foundED’s maiden event in Hyderabad. It drew a select group of top-tier startups, investors, and tech ecosystem partners, and it served as a venue for them to collaborate on innovative business models that addressed the ecosystem’s pain issues.
Rana Daggubati, who spoke at the event, said, “We need founders who can lead their teams and instil the notion that we are here to produce products or services for the world if we are to transform the ecosystem. The initiative must come from daring investors who are willing to put their money into a variety of prospects.”
He went on to say how important networking is, citing projects like foundED as an example. “This is the first step in informing fledgling entrepreneurs about who’s out there and what they can do. More forums like foundED are needed, where government or company groups like DBS may step forward to educate and connect young entrepreneurs.”

DBS BusinessClass is a DBS Bank project that enables SMEs network with major business influencers, obtain unique access to a knowledgable community of Asia’s business masterminds, and learn the latest market trends. DBS’ vision is expanded through foundED, which bridges the gaps in the startup ecosystem’s technology and capital spectrum by bringing the relevant partners together to co-invent and innovate. The foundED conference will be conducted in Bangalore, Chennai, and Mumbai in the future.
DBS Bank India‘s Executive Director and Head of Business Banking, Sudarshan Chari, stated, “Apart from personalised banking solutions, DBS SME Banking is dedicated to providing a variety of value-added services. We’re delighted to start working with Anthill and Headstart with foundED, where entrepreneurs can gain valuable insights and connections to help them grow their businesses and gain a competitive advantage. We’ll be able to partner with them on their growth journey and reach out to the startup community in important business hubs thanks to the forum.”
DBS supports ecosystem partners who are committed to making a positive difference in the community. To boost digitalization among small dairies throughout India, the bank has recently joined with premier dairy-tech firm Stellapps as its banking partner. In the foreseeable future, the cooperation is likely to help around 100,000 dairy farmers. DBS also teamed up with ODeX, an online document exchange and payments facilitation platform for the ocean shipping industry, to offer freight forwarders simple credit options. Over 8,500 freight forwarders are projected to profit from this cooperation, which aligns with DBS’ commitment to financing local businesses and supporting livelihoods.
