Dettol Banega Swasth India launches health & hygiene podcast

Reckitt, the world’s leading consumer health and hygiene firm, produced India’s first-ever public health and hygiene-focused podcast Dettol Banega Swasth India – Swasthya Mantra to commemorate World Hand Hygiene Day. The podcast’s goal is to attract a younger audience and promote the message about the significance of practicing proper hygiene. This podcast is accessible in English and Hindi on platforms such as Spotify, Apple Podcast, Google Podcast, and YouTube. The occasion also saw the release of a three-volume hygiene DIY workbook for youngsters in English and Hindi, as an expansion of the Dettol BSI School Hygiene Curriculum.

‘Accelerate action together,’ is the theme of World Hand Hygiene Day 2023. Save Lives, Clean Your Hands,’ Dettol BSI’s effort focuses on educating customers that only a ‘Swachh India’ can be a Swasth India. The Banega Swasth India – Swasthya Mantra podcast connects and sensitizes the millennial and Gen Z audience that consumes information through new-age platforms by emphasizing the importance of cleanliness, sustainable living, and the need to instill good hygiene practices, such as hand washing, in their daily lives.

The interesting and instructive three-volume DIY workbook was created to encourage children to practice personal hygiene as well as hygiene at home, school, in the neighborhood, and even during illness. The youngsters will begin by making a vow to practice good hygiene.

As part of the special episode commemorating World Hand Hygiene Day, the launch was held in the presence of renowned cricketer Suresh Raina. During the occasion, three-volume DIY workbooks were presented to the youngsters in attendance. To amplify the message of the hygiene curriculum, Dettol BSI held India’s first and largest Hygiene Olympiad – Dettol Hygiene Olympiad – in September 2022 to motivate children and improve their reasoning, analytical, and problem-solving skills in the context of hygiene, making daily hygiene practices second nature. The Olympiad drew 24 million students from throughout the country.
