DXC Technology and BHUMI to transform the Government schools in Sikri, Raj.

After successfully completing their efforts to provide a supportive learning environment for young people, DXC Technology and Bhumi, India’s largest volunteering NGO, together opened two government schools in Sikri.

For the high school pupils at Sikri, the model school development effort, powered by teamwork, inspired fresh expectations and unlocked the door to a better future. These public schools today provide pupils modern classrooms, well-developed libraries, scientific labs, cutting-edge sporting facilities, sanitary restrooms, and campuses that are welcoming to students. The schools were equipped with CCTV cameras to monitor the campuses and safe drinking water systems because security and good health were top objectives.

“A school has a direct impact on the growth of well-educated, civic-minded, responsible future citizens who may one day become world leaders,” said Vaishnavi Srinivasan, executive director of Bhumi. It is therefore more than just a physical structure. It is a supportive setting in which kids, parents, and the entire community typically participate fully. Our efforts are focused on giving every student attending government or government-aided schools a holistic educational experience. When we observed the condition of the schools in Sikri, we understood the significance of our efforts. We worked with DXC Technology to start the full school transformation programme after conducting a comprehensive inspection of the institution. We are happy that students’ willingness and attendance at these schools have increased today.
