ECIL CSR – NEW DELHI: The Electronics Corporation of India Limited (ECIL), Hyderabad, is a Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Atomic Energy of the Government of India. On 22.03.2022, ECIL, as part of its CSR efforts for FY 2021-22, acquired and handed over the following medical equipment to the District Medical & Health Officer in the presence of the District Collector for use in PHCs and CHCs in the Bhadradri Kothagudem District, Telangana (Aspirational District).
During the handover ceremony, the ECIL team stated that the company does CSR efforts on a project basis every year in order to ensure the project’s long-term viability and reach a vast number of people.
The aforesaid devices were acquired by ECIL and handed over to District Administration based on the healthcare requirements provided by District Administration.
These items were given to help minimise the high number of prenatal deaths in the district, which are caused by a lack of suitable medical equipment for investigating and monitoring the health of pregnant women and children.
ECIL has stated that if training is required, it will be arranged.
The District Collector, Shri Anudeep Durishetty, IAS, complimented ECIL for choosing Bhadradri Kothagudem District (Aspirational District) to host ECIL CSR Programs.
He believes that the District has to take more such steps to improve community living standards by providing and expanding essential infrastructure.
ECIL has been asked to take on a few more activities in the coming fiscal year.
