Mumbai, September 11th, 2023: Godrej & Boyce, the flagship company of the Godrej Group, a trailblazer in sustainable business practices, today announced that the company sources over 80% of its domestic supply chain. This stride underscores the company’s relentless dedication to strengthening the ‘Make in India’ initiative, igniting an ambitious trajectory towards self-reliance. Currently, Godrej & Boyce has partnerships with over 750 domestic suppliers and plans to deepen their engagement with them over the next 3 years.

In addition to expanding its domestic sourcing foothold, G&B is also focused on creating a sustainable, integrated supply chain. The company through its ‘Beyond Sourcing’ initiative, plans to advance local suppliers from their basic management development to empowering them with robust productivity and quality systems, culminating in sustainability via Lean & Green Management and ZED (Zero Effect Zero Defect). The initiative is aligned with G&B’s vision of building a self-reliant ecosystem in the manufacturing sector by equipping suppliers with indigenous skills.
