Group Legrand India launches 3rd Telemedicine Centre

In conjunction with the Apollo Telemedicine Networking Foundation, Group Legrand India, a leader in electrical and digital building infrastructure, today opened its third telemedicine health centre. The facility was opened by Mr. Tony Berland, MD & CEO, Group Legrand India, in the presence of Mr. Uday Shankar, General Manager, Apollo Telemedicine Networking Foundation, and Ms. Abida Aneez, CSR Head, Group Legrand India.

Legrand’s major CSR tenet is the improvement of healthcare. Since opening its first telemedicine centre in Jalgaon in 2017, Group Legrand India has helped more than 15000 patients through medical consultations in Jalgaon and Haridwar. More than 3500 people can receive medical consultations from telemedicine centres annually thanks to their advanced technology. For optimal health, having access to healthcare services is essential, yet rural populations confront numerous obstacles because of their remote location and limited resources. By offering free, high-quality healthcare through general and speciality telemedicine consultations, free medications, and a technologically sound infrastructure, Legrand hopes to support the community and close the gap.

The facility offers audio/video technologies for real-time medical telemedicine consultations. With all the required tools and accessories, patient comfort comes first. Patients have access to a variety of routine health screening tests, including blood glucose, haemoglobin, lipid profile evaluation, pregnancy test, urine analysis, HbAIC, Malaria, Dengue, and ECG. General medicine, obstetrics, gynaecology, cardiology, paediatrics, orthopaedics, gastrointestinal, dermatology, and mental counselling are all provided by doctors from Apollo. Doctors can perform a physical examination-like listening test on the patient’s heart and lungs thanks to modern equipment.

According to Mr. Tony Berland, CEO & Managing Director, Group Legrand India, in order to give back to society, the company has implemented telemedicine initiatives to assist people in need and has ensured that everyone benefits. Telemedicine is one of the best revolutions in the medical field, and this is due to the country’s technological advancement. “I am sure this telemedicine facility will benefit the 10,000+ BPL and poor people living in and around the centre, as they may avail of free consultations, tests, and medications from top doctors of Apollo Superspecialist Hospital,” he continued.
