The 1.7 lakh residents of Kannagi Nagar will see this Multi-Sports complex as a ray of hope, opening the door for their kids to get official sports instruction. The size of the sports field is 39,272 square feet. It will be used to encourage kids and teenagers to take part in sports including cricket, football, and track & field. The sports complex includes a 100-meter running track, two cricket nets, a volleyball court, a kabaddi court, a football field, a rugby field, and a rugby court. More than 30,000 kids and young people from the slum community will benefit from this area.
Children’s physical and mental development depends heavily on sport and physical education. The multi-sports complex offers sports including touch rugby, kabaddi, volleyball, football, cricket, and many others. However, playing organized sports is a pipe dream for underprivileged kids and teenagers. Despite their physical prowess, many children from underprivileged households are forced to give up their passion for sports because of a lack of resources and possibilities in their neighbourhoods.
