Hindustan Zinc skill development centre will empower youth
Hindustan Zinc skill development centre – Hindustan Zinc, India’s only and one of the world’s largest integrated zinc-lead-silver producers, has introduced two new courses under its Skill Development initiatives. Through this programme, Hindustan Zinc has mobilised 120 students from nearby panchayats with the help of their implementation partner Birla Open Minds, by providing them with free training in disciplines such as electrical maintenance and food and beverage preparation. As a responsible corporate, Hindustan Zinc contributes to the development of the country.
“By furnishing available skill improvement training, we can boost children in readying for job conferences and entrusting them to become self-sufficient, curtailing their expenditures while heightening their income.” remarked Mahamantri Lalu Ram of Zawar Mazdoor Sang. Kishor Kumar, SBU Director, Zawar Mines, was also added. This project will bridge the gap between tribal and city children by providing free tuition in electrical repair, food and beverage preparation, computer skills, and English, helping them to become self-sufficient.”
Hindustan Zinc launched Zinc Kaushal Kendra with the goal of providing short-term intense training in various vocations such as Assistant Electrician, Microfinance Executive, Unarmed Security Guard, General Duty Assistant, Retail Sales Executive, and so on. The centre assists and prepares adolescents for employment and self-employment options, allowing them to earn a living and later make a tangible and good change in their life.
