Honeywell, ICT Academy host Digital Youth Empowerment Summit
ICT Academy – Students from eight states, including Karnataka, Delhi NCR, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Maharashtra, attended the Honeywell Digital Youth Empowerment Summit 2023, which was organised by Honeywell Hometown Solutions India Foundation (HHSIF), the company’s charitable arm.
The summit’s goal was to enable meetings between graduating students and business professionals, notably Human Resources (HR) leaders, to ease their transition into the workforce.
At the summit, representatives from TCS, Tech Mahindra, Sales Force, Cognizant, Service Now, Atos, and Honeywell spoke to the students.
The Honeywell Student Empowerment Program, which trains young people on cutting-edge technologies including cloud, big data, networking, robotic process automation, artificial intelligence, and machine learning to help prepare them for the future of work, is being continued by this programme.

According to Pooja Thakran, director of the HHSIF, “The Honeywell Student Empowerment Program offers students who have finished the three months of training in courses like AI, Data analytics, and others, that will benefit students from marginalised sections of society to get better jobs, a globally recognized joint certificate. In seven states—Karnataka, Delhi NCR, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Maharashtra—80+ Center of Excellence for Youth Empowerment & Center of Excellence for Women Empowerment have been created throughout colleges.
ICT Academy CEO Hari Balachandran stated, “It is crucial to give graduating students the necessary direction they need to make the transition into the working world. The summit is an effort to assist people gain the self-assurance, positive outlook, and capacity to demonstrate their distinctive qualities that will help them stand out among their peers. At the summit, business experts and HR leaders informed the students about strategies for easing their transition into the demanding corporate world.
It has been two years since the Honeywell Hometown Solutions India Foundation and ICT Academy joined. Focusing on the goal of upskilling youth in industry 4.0, the cooperation allowed 5663 students to receive training in advanced technical skills in their first year, and 60% of those students went on to graduate.
