Infosys to provide skills-based courses in Maharashtra
Infosys – Under the CSR initiative, Infosys will offer Skills-based courses to over 40 lakhs students from higher
secondary schools and colleges across the state.
The programs that will be proposed are cloud programming, artificial intelligence, finance, and several others. In the first phase, the courses will open in the Nagpur state comprising a trio of subjects like Science, Commerce, and Arts. Others will initiate in Technical College of Ratnagiri.
Uday Samant, the minister of the higher and technical department announced that As part of the MOU, students are expected to benefit from 3,900 competency courses in various categories. All these courses would be taught online and available on the Springboard platform. They will be unrestricted and discretionary which students can pursue along with their regular degree courses.”
Samant added that “This coalition will stimulate 1,600 tech colleges and 10 lakh technical students and
3,000 higher education colleges and 30 lakh students in the state”.
