Kalpataru, Khushiyaan Foundation conduct Beach Cleanup Drive
At Prabhadevi Beach in Mumbai, Kalpataru organizes a Beach Cleanup Drive in collaboration with the Khushiyaan Foundation.
Leading premium and luxury real estate developer Kalpataru in India organized a beach cleanup drive at Mumbai’s Prabhadevi Beach. This Kalpataru flagship project was developed in collaboration with the Khushiyaan Foundation and will eventually have 12 volumes. More than 85 volunteers participated in this second chapter, which saw the removal of 1300 kg of trash from the beach.

The goal of this programme is to regularly clean Prabhadevi Beach and maintain its natural beauty. Government agencies like BMC received the collected plastic for sorting and recycling. The volunteers were all given access to the cleaning supplies and safety equipment.
The beaches are littered with plastic waste that frequently tangles with rotting fabric or old fishing nets, endangering marine life and posing a threat to their survival. Additionally, because it causes illnesses like Dengue and Malaria, it raises the health risks for people. It aids in restoring the attraction and beauty of the outdoors. The Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, a laudable government project, has been supported by the creation of the Beach Cleanup Drive.
