Lakshyam launched an exclusive range of organic products from the soil of India
Lakshyam (www.lakshyam.co.in) launched organic products through its social venture‘Holy Cow Lakshyam’. Through this venture they have reintroduced items manufactured from cow dung and cow urine, which have been a part of our tradition for centuries, are written in our scriptures, and have now been scientifically tested too.
Holy Cow Lakshyam is a social enterprise working to bring a holistic impact to society by creating products for the benefit of the community that are environment-friendly, healthy, chemical-free and handmade, thus generating source of employment for rural women and trying to tackle one ofthe biggest problems of our country ‘Cattle Management’.
It offers products under 4 categories namely – gardening care, spiritual care, health care, and home utility care.Chyawanprash, Herbal Tea, Gur (Jaggery), Khand (Refined Sugar), Health Tonic, Dhoop Sticks (Agarbatti), Phenyl, Hawan Samagri, Khaad (Manure), Cow Dung Pots, Cow Dung Cake (Uplee) and Cow Dung Diya are the 12 products currently being sold by Holy Cow Lakshyam.
All of these items are created in a Barsana cow shelter that now houses 56000 rescued cows from the streets. Local village women use the dung and urine of these abandoned cows to manufacture the final products under the supervision of the gaushala’s research lab.
Over 3000 cows have been directly benefited by Lakshyam’s Holy Cow initiative, 4000+ women have been trained, 1000 kg of garbage has been recycled, 50 gaushalas have been helped, 1200+ consumers have been happy, and much more. The entire purpose of Lakshyam’s creation was to create an entrepreneurship model that addresses social issues. All of these items are produced with love, filled with kindness, and packed in environmentally friendly materials.
The main goal of this initiative is to ensure that the products are environmentally friendly, that rural-area women have opportunities for employment that no ill-treatment of cows is done while making the products, that no machine-based product is made, and that stray cattle have a home where they are cared for and fed properly every product.

We live in a world full of odd and even, right and wrong, beautiful and ugly things, but at the end of the day, everything depends on how we see things. Change can only happen if people have the confidence to question the status quo and the willingness to take action, no matter how difficult it is!”
