Inauguration of Corporate Social Responsibility Workshop by Minister of State for Finance
Corporate Social Responsibility Workshop – In collaboration with FICCI, a session on “Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) with a Special Focus on Aspirational Districts” was held. Over 200 people attended the event, including representatives from NITI Aayog, civil society organisations, representatives from Aspirational Districts, and other CPSEs Nodal Officers for CSR implementation. The subject for the CPSEs’ CSR initiatives in FY 2022-23 is “Health and Nutrition.”
Dr. Bhagwat Kishanrao Karad, Minister of State for Finance, Government of India, said at a session on “Corporate Social Responsibility Workshop (CSR) with Special Focus on Aspirational Districts” held during AKAM Iconic Week that “business success depends on the value provided in society.”

In his virtual address, Dr. Karad stated, “Honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi has promised to work, particularly in the areas of health, nutrition, tourism, skill development, and the environment.” He went on to say that CPSEs had spent an average of Rs. 4200 crore on CSR over the last four years.
To commemorate 75 years of independence, the AKAM Mega Show Exhibition on ‘Contribution of CPSEs to Nation-Building’ will be held from 09 to 12 June 2022 at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, under the auspices of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav‘ (AKAM). 75 Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs) are exhibiting their exhibits on their contributions to nation building at the event.
