OMC Power signs Agreement with IREDA
OMC Power is pleased to announce a long-term partnership with the Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Ltd. (IREDA) to create a renewable energy environment in rural areas.
OMC will get financial assistance from the IREDA to construct up renewable energy facilities in Uttar Pradesh communities, which will supply sustainable electricity. In Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, OMC Power today owns and runs 280 renewable energy plants.
To substantially lower the carbon impact in rural India, OMC Power wants to expand its presence to 1000 sites. Renewable energy plays a critical role in the battle against climate change and in meeting tomorrow’s energy needs. To compound the dangers of global warming, the energy sector needs to work together.
Under IREDA’s “Access to Energy” plan, this collaboration will seek to achieve long-term sustainability by distributing green and clean energy to rural communities.
The scheme’s main purpose is to increase project developers’ access to capital in order to increase the supply and consumption of clean energy services in rural areas.

The German Development Bank, KFW, has backed the facility. This will help strengthen rural areas’ general economic stratification in a systematic way.
OMC and IREDA’s long-term partnership will deepen and reinforce their common vision of sustainable energy development for a better and brighter future.” We are thrilled and grateful to IREDA for believing in OMC’s vision of building a viable rural utility business in rural Uttar Pradesh based on our renewable energy assets.
OMC Power and the Indian Renewable Energy Dev Agency Ltd. (IREDA) would boost economic growth among India’s rural population by providing on-demand power. It will have a significant impact on the rural economy, especially in agriculture, education, and health.
