OPPO India, MeitY’s Common Services Centres to empower women
With the help of the Ministry of Electronics & IT, OPPO India and CSC Academy collaborate to empower rural and semi-urban women through the Cyber Sangini initiative.
Through this effort, 10,000 women will get cybersecurity and cyber wellness training with the goal of preparing them for certification as Cyber Security Ambassadors. Participants will earn a certificate from NIELIT at the conclusion of the 45-day programme, which will open doors to employment and livelihood options in their communities.
The Cyber Sanginis will receive instruction on the legal frameworks and existing regulations that are available to every citizen to safeguard them against such cyber events. According to OPPO’s mission of “Technology for Mankind and Kindness for the World,” these women will be permitted to charge a small fee to the public for assistance in resolving cybersecurity and cyber wellness issues in an effort to help the public become self-sufficient. The Cyber Sangini programme, which has the same ideals as MEITY’s Be Safe Online campaign, strives to increase public knowledge of how to stay safe online, especially in light of the pervasive use of social media and the quick uptake of electronic payments.

Sanjay Kumar Rakesh, MD & CEO, CSC SPV, stated at the start of the initiative, “With the growing threat of cyber attacks and lack of awareness around cybersecurity, it is crucial to establish local-level support systems in villages to protect the general population, especially vulnerable groups like women, students, the elderly, and the uneducated. The risks of using the internet are numerous and constantly changing. Through our collaboration with OPPO and the Cyber Sangini programme, we will enable people to become Cyber-Security Ambassadors who are continually encouraged and taught, offering a potent remedy to these difficulties.
OPPO stands proud in partnership with CSC Academy to launch a campaign that not only educates users of all ages about online risks and safety measures, but also actively promotes cyber hygiene, according to Vivek Vasishtha, Vice-President, Public Affairs, OPPO India. “As India aggressively strives to reach its trillion-dollar digital economy potential, OPPO stands proud in partnership with CSC Academy to launch this campaign,” he said. This programme is an essential step in enhancing citizen cyber safety and enabling more public engagement with the digital economy. The Honorable Prime Minister’s objective of inclusive social and economic prosperity through digital transformation is also being realised in this step.
