ASDC and Hero MotoCorp join hands with Project Jeevika
The Automotive Skill Development Council (ASDC) and Hero MotoCorp, the world’s largest manufacturer of motorbikes and scooters, have teamed up for Project Jeevika,” which will train two-wheeler market technicians across the country on BS-VI Technology.
Hero MotoCorp has taught over 6000 technicians through the TVET (Technical and Vocational Education and Training) ecosystem as part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) platform “Hero WeCare.” Stakeholders are trying to improve technicians’ livelihoods and upskill them in order to lift people out of poverty by providing free training and development programmes in the automotive service industry, making their positions more desirable.
Mr. Vinod Agarwal, President of ASDC, stated of the campaign, “We are tremendously glad to join with Hero MotoCorp for this excellent initiative “Jeevika.” The alliance aims to provide market technicians with high-quality skills training and keep them up to date on new technologies that they would encounter when serving consumers. The project has the ability to change people’s lives, particularly the lives of these technicians. We are excited to continue this endeavour in order to reach a larger number of market technicians.

Both ASDC and Hero MotoCorp will endeavour to close the skilled labour supply gap in the automotive industry and assist them in meeting workforce requirements across the country. The programme will also enable all roadside technicians to gain necessary skills on futuristic cars and become self-sufficient, enabling these technicians for a brighter future while also achieving Skill India’s bigger mission.
