RV University wins award for commitment to education-related CSR
April 27, 2022, Bengaluru: The Global India Business Forum (GIBF) has recognized RV University in Bengaluru for its excellent commitment to CSR in the education sector. The Governor of Karnataka, Shri Thawar Chand Gehlot, who was the Chief Guest at the gala event, presented this award to Dr. Y.S.R. Murthy, Vice-Chancellor of RV University.
“We have brought up 100 scholarships for excellent students and those who are touched by COVID-19 in our early year of undertakings in 2021,” Dr. Y.S.R. Murthy commented in answer. We intend to keep doing so in the next years. We are thrilled and proud to be recognized for our efforts to assist deserving students by granting significant scholarships. We believe that financial constraints should not deter students from enrolling in college.
To make a difference, the RV University has formed partnerships with organizations such as the Grassroots Research and Advocacy Movement (GRAAM), Swami Vivekanand Youth Movement (SVYM), Sochara, HelpAge India, South India Cell for Human Rights Education and Monitoring (SCIHREM), Human Rights Alert, Manipur, the Kohima Institute, Nagaland, the All India Network of NGOs and Someones helping with National and State Human Rights Institutions.
The Global India Commercial Forum is a networking forum dedicated to identifying business prospects for India’s MSME sector to trade with other nations across the world. On Sunday, April 24, 2022, the National Award for Business Excellence was presented to entrepreneurs, businessmen, and achievers from various industries in Karnataka, under numerous categories, one of which was CSR. RV University’s contribution in this field was recognized and rewarded.
RV University’s instructional processes include social responsibility and community involvement. Last year, a number of scholarships were awarded to meritorious students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. The advantages ranged from a fee remission for the first year to fee reductions of varying amounts throughout the academic year.
