Samsung Launches Samsung Smart School Program at Navodaya Schools
Samsung Smart School Program – At Navodaya Schools, Samsung launches the ‘Samsung Smart School’ programme, which empowers students and teachers through digital learning.
Samsung, India’s most popular brand, has launched Samsung Smart School, its flagship global citizenship programme, in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) schools across the country. The CSR programme, which is part of Samsung’s ‘Together for Tomorrow! Enabling People’ vision, aims to develop tomorrow’s leaders by providing less-privileged students in India with access to digital education and Samsung’s own transformative innovations.
In its first year, the programme is being tested at ten JNV schools. In Varanasi, Gwalior, Raipur, Udaipur, Kangra, Sambhalpur, Faridabad, Dehradun, Patna, and Dhanbad, Samsung Smart Schools have been established in JNV schools. Many of these schools are found in rural areas surrounding major cities.
Students will be able to improve their learning capacities and grasp of essential ideas in the classrooms using interactive digital teaching methods that teachers have been trained on through the Samsung Smart School programme. Over 5,000 kids, 40 percent of them are girls, and 260 teachers will participate in the experiment at ten JNV schools.
“We are thrilled to have Samsung as a CSR partner in digital education. As part of the Samsung Smart School programme, smart classrooms are helping to boost student participation and engagement. Mr. Vinayak Garg, Commissioner, Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, stated, “I am convinced that a programme like this would have a great impact on society and will become a benchmark for digital education in the future.”
Samsung works to improve educational and learning possibilities for young people all over the world. Our dedication to our vision of #PoweringDigitalIndia is strengthened by the Samsung Smart School programme. Mr. Partha Ghosh, Vice President, Corporate Citizenship, Samsung India, said, “This global citizenship effort is intimately related to India’s development strategy and implemented in close coordination with the government to ensure a larger reach and impact among less-privileged youngsters.”
