SECL Skill Development Training to youths of CG
SECL Skill Development Training – 520 youngsters from the project areas would receive Skill Development Training from South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL), a subsidiary of Coal India Limited (CIL).
The young people are from Korba, Raigarh, Ambikapur, Surajpur, and other areas where the coal miner operates.
The programme, which will be supported through the SECL’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) department, will be carried out by the CIPET—Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering and Technology—Korba and Raipur centres. 300 of the chosen candidates have already begun attending the session. 220 of them are in Korba and 80 are in Raipur.
The six-month course would be free of charge for the students, according to the spokeswoman, who also stated that a skill development programme for unemployed adolescents has been begun. The SECL will cover the whole cost of training and lodging.
Previously, a pilot initiative for adolescents was created in the Raipur centre of CIPET, a ministry of chemical and fertiliser institute that offers skill development training in various trades. On satisfactory completion of the course, all 40 students were placed.
SECL would provide skill development training to 520 Chhattisgarh youths.
