Skill Training in Food Service Industry – In order to train rural youth in Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) operations, Dalmia Bharat Foundation (DBF), the corporate social responsibility division of Dalmia Bharat Ltd. (DBL), a major cement and sugar company, has partnered with Jubilant Bhartia Foundation, the corporate social responsibility division of Jubilant Bhartia Group, a renowned conglomerate with diverse business interests spanning food services, pharmaceuticals, life sciences, etc. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed today to formally establish the cooperation, which aims to provide job opportunities in the QSR sector and enable sustainable living. There are several potential for food service enterprises, a booming market, and significant growth in the QSR sector in India. The training courses will be delivered at the 18 DIKSHa centers spread across India run by DBF. This program aims to make students more aware. 

The 84-hour classroom training course will provide participants with the skills needed to seek careers in the QSR business. Learners will be introduced to both theoretical and practical aspects of Quick Service Restaurant Operations, with a focus on service excellence. In addition, the Jubilant Bhartia Foundation will arrange an On Job Training (OJT) opportunity, with trainees receiving a stipend. Trainees will be provided full-time work in the organized sector of the QSR business after successfully completing OJT and will be issued a certificate by the National Institute for Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development (NIESBUD), Noida.
